My Favorite Things - Retired Teacher Version

I'm linking up with my friends at Teaching Trio for their Favorite Things linky! This is the NER (not educationally related) version. As a retired teacher, my favorite things now don't have much to do with a classroom.

1. I have some television programs I like to watch, and I don't have too many people to discuss them with now. I also believe you can't have enough snark in your life, so I enjoy going to Previously TV to read the recaps of my tv shows. Additionally, I like to visit the forums to interact with other snark-minded folks.

2. Amazon Prime. Free shipping in 2 days? Yes, please. I order so many things from Amazon and having Prime has paid for itself over and over. I don't order as many books and materials for my classroom any more, but I do get a thrill out of having supplies for my number three favorite thing delivered to my doorstep.

3. I love love love my Keurig. I am the only one who drinks coffee here, and since I did that retired teacher thing, I don't have the budget for coffee at FourBucks any more. With my Keurig, I can have flavored coffee at my fingertips in just a few minutes. I like to keep a variety of K Cups on hand (although Hazelnut and Golden French Toast are eternal favorites), so my toughest decision every day is which flavor to brew.

If you have a blog, go link up with Teaching Trio. Just click on the picture below to go to their linky. If you don't have a blog, leave me your favorites in the comments. I'd love to discover something new!

  1. I love Hazelnut coffee in my Keurig! It is one of those things that I really don't think I could live without!

  2. Isn't Amazon Prime the best? I love the free music streaming now. They just keep adding more and more.

  3. I recently discovered Amazon Prime and I LOVE it!!! Hope you are enjoying retirement!

  4. Suzanne, Amazon Prime is great! I'm also so glad I got to see the clip of Jimmy Fallon and Nicole Kidman on Previously TV. Thanks!! - Lisa

  5. Yep... I am in love with my Keurig too! I use it multiple times every day. It really helps me get through those long hours at the school!

  6. Thanks for the tip for Previously TV. How have I not heard of this? When I watched 24, I ALWAYS had to go and read the recap after watching since I always seemed confused as to what was happening. LOVE recaps. My mom will appreciate it too.

I really need to look into Amazon Prime. Is it free shipping to your address only or could I get free shipping to my daughter when she's in college too? Hmmmm...

    1. You can ship to other addresses than your own. I send stuff to my sister all the time!

  7. I really need to get Amazon prime-I am a teacher so I am going to check out your blog!
